hello guys, i will get my sx 210 next week, i plan to change the battery ASAP, so, Im not familiar with computer boards, so I dont want to mess everything up.
2004-12-05 by gil_we
You MUST replace it. The battery is designed to work only for about 10 years or so... after 20 years it s definately going to leake all over the borad and ruin

The battery in any synth is there to backup the sound memory of the when your synth is powered off, so no effect on the sound. Not all SX batteries leak, mines

just remember though, the 210/240 sound very different IMO. You can always print the 210 to tape or daw.

SX210 is not volate controlled therefore it cannot be controlled by a MIDI-to-CV converter. I guess anyone who wish to have their SX210 controleld by midi
2004-11-23 by texhand
Not much of a chance. Some pre midi s have some form of c/v gate. No such luck with the 210. I am sure some place like PFAT FISH could rig anything,, but the

What do you mean, print it to a DAW? What is a DAW?
2004-11-22 by gil_we
The question was if there s a MIDI interface available for the SX210. As far as my experience goes, I could only see interfaces who talk to VCO based
2004-11-22 by esasafrazz@fastmail.fm
Not really a limiting factor Gil. I have a Roland Jx10 with DCO s and mid and there were many others.
2004-11-22 by gil_we
As it s a dco based machine I guess no... but I might be wrong.

I looked around briefly and didn t see anything on the Kenton or Synhouse sites. Print it to a daw, works great, I use Ableton Live or Pro Tools LE.

Does anyone know if this is possible? It s such a shame the 210 doesn t have MIDI...

Have you ever opened it up and checked for battery leakage ?? This may be the cause. Do it now. Check if it has leaked and in any case replace it. Has it

try another tape deck, make sure any noise reduction is off, clean your tape jacks on the recorder and SX, try a different tape (non metal I believe)

I have the original chart for the factory presets. Nothing exciting. Anyway, the easiest wat is to use 44/16 wave files for uploading and downloading presets.

... After a little sleep, I think I know what you are wanting to do. Run the data casette through a converter! Back to Idea #1. It may be done via wave file

... But, I would not want the original tape responsibility. I think it best for you to find someone with a dual cassette and copy the data tape to mail out.
