I suspect that the battery has leaked inside. If this is the case the fix is not simple at all, and I d suggest that you try to contact one of the guys doing

I think there different, even though some on the net say the 240 is similiar to the 210. First it is a different sound. The 240 is little more grainy/thin less

The funny thing is almost any synth manufacturer of the early 80s tried to make out real instrument sounds as factory presets on their analog models....
