I suspect that the battery has leaked inside. If this is the case the fix is not simple at all, and I d suggest that you try to contact one of the guys doing

I think there different, even though some on the net say the 240 is similiar to the 210. First it is a different sound. The 240 is little more grainy/thin less

The funny thing is almost any synth manufacturer of the early 80s tried to make out real instrument sounds as factory presets on their analog models....

Are you sure these are the key contacts ?? Check the cables going to and from the keyboard... I would fix it and keep it original !! ... get ... ive ... off

There different for sure Gil. The 210 being a simpler sound but being a little more lush/warm, alive and the 240 being a little rougher in the filter. I like
