Nice find. the reset hole turns all patches to the basic tone. From there you have to create your own work for new patches to save. Side pannels and back

... The 8th note in sequence can be dead.( sx210 has 8 poly) on some patches, but not all. One would think that any patch could go from mono, 4 poly to 8 poly

Do you have a dead note problem ? Look for a bad 4066 chip on the bad oscillator circuit. I had that twice. I can look which one was the problemtic one on mine
