Your ZIP drive sounds like it has the Click of Death , it s quite common for ZIP drives to get, don t put any more disks in the drive, just replace your ZIP

It is a standard 50 pin SCSI internal. One HDD i can recommend w EmaxII is the Quantum Maverrick 540. I have two of them installed internally in my EmaxII.
