It is most likely the internal hard drive. The drive I have makes a fair
amount of noise as well.
You could get an external enclosure for the drive and move it away from the
sampler.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
