The software was downloaded on a OSx Macbook with HFSfuse, and transferred to the Powerbook 5300 over my LAN. So file transference is not the issue here.

The scsi2sd allows 4 scsi hard drives on one microSD card. Each of the 4 is 20MB and can store up to 35 banks. It’s very fast too, compared to a floppy. ofc

1) Confirm you are using DSDD disk, not HD disk 2) Confirm you have not set the WRITE PROTECT tab on the disk. This is a single use disk for update purposes.
