I have mounted my two 540's as follows:
Wrapped them into thick packaging plastic and thrown the pack right in and
reassembled the Emax case.. :) Not a very nice solution but they have been
running for two years now, withouth problems. There might be a problem of
overheating though, but I have never had my Emax on for more than a day or
so at a time.  There are plenty of room inside, so there is no good reason
for _not_  mounting the drives properly. (Maybe w a PC kit) but I'm too lazy.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
