Yes. But you'll probably run into the limitations of both the polyphony
and the memory of the Emax II. For the type of use you want you need
to become familiar with the sequencers MulitMode function. This
allows for 16 channels of data to be routed to up to 16 presets within
the same bank. The other problem you might face is how to get all of
the machines to send their data into the Emax II's 1 MIDI In jack. I do
something similar live where I have the sequencer doing all the drum
work and use the sequencer to also route the data coming from my
controller to the Emax II as well so I can play it in realtime.

No, resampling is fairly new and limited to top of the line samplers with
their own effects cards built in.

They have a very limited life. Most of the HD disks I tried to use went
corrupt within a year without warning. Forget about floppies go with
removable media like a Syquest or Zip drive. Or use an internal and
external HD.

A manual can be ordered through E-mu or their website. Look under
Parts.

Not that I'm aware of. The closest thing is to set the threshold up high
enough that it doesn't start sampling to you trigger what it is you want
sampled.

You can send any Mono sound file to the Emax II via MIDI Sample
Dump Standard using a program that uses that format as well. On a
PC your best bet is Sound Forge by Sonic Foundry for professional
use/price or search (I think) shareware archives like Tucows for this
little shareware app that can do it to (after being registered for $12) I
can't remember what it's called.
