I ve used my SDS8 pads with a Roland PM16 pad to MIDI converter; worked fine. I guess you ll need to make up socket converters for the Cannons on SDSV pads.

Not only it is for program changing, it is also for stepping back and forth between sequences and patches, as mentioned in the TMI owner s manual I downloaded.
