ok yes it has potentiometers but thay are vertical mounted presets i know i have two sds 1000s care must be taken when ever you repair any electronic parts

Oops - SDS1000 yes. It does use potentiometers - lots of them. Do you mean just grab the knob with the pliers and pull? Is there any danger of damaging the pot
