Simmons '85 pricelist adjusted for inflation

2009-11-16 by Ed

Here are a few of the highlights. First is the price from the February 1985 pricelist followed by the equivalent price in 2009 dollars.

SDS1: 365 = 733

SDS6: 2800 = 5620

SDS7 (5piece kit (K,S,Tx3) - no hardware): 4365 = 8761

SDS7 HH package: 597 = 1198

SDS7 rack ears: 34 = 68

SDS8 (no hardware): 1550 = 3111

EPB: 795 = 1596

6 pack of 16k eproms: 168 = 337

Red Muscle Shirt: 7 = 14

Love these kind of translated old price lists. :)

I suddenly have two for sale if you're OK with the original price. :P

I'd like to see someone pay that today. But I can sure appreciate why it
sold so much better than the SDS-7.

_That_ on the other hand would be OK for a factory new Simmons shirt. :D

The MusicAid stuff on the other hand is a lot closer to these prices as
are many vintage synths. Maybe the time for a real Simmons revival is
around the corner...
