Paia vocoder is crap (a toy). If you really want to DIY a vocoder either look to a a specific small set of functions and bandwidth or maybe do a half analog

My son pointed this out to me (Will wants a vocoder) - and after thinking it over, he suggested using four PAiA vocoder pcbs for the EFs, VCAs, mixer, etc.
