You can turn off the keypads from sending midi to the out ports in the MIDI menu, Keyboard Transmits MIDI . Page 114 of the manaul. Transmit MIDI Clock info

Cool idea, but you d need some type of modifier key too I d think. The keypads currently function as a way to enter letters too, which saves me hours of time
