No, these synths use a 3V Lithium battery so replace it with a commonly available lithium coin cell of the same size not a NiMH or NiCD. Doug synthparts.com

Hi jmn Whenever we need to replace a battery we find out the type number from the old one and then find an equivalent in the NiMH listings, don t use NiCd.
