Vintage Synth Repair

I'm enjoying using this board, but have one problem.  I'm using a sustain pedal that I can change polaraties.  Regardless of direction, I can't get the pianos to sustain in either of the two "hold" openings.  Any sussgestions would be appreciated.  Jake
