240's sequencces

240's sequencces

2004-07-22 by esasafrazz@fastmail.fm

Funny!! When you load the factory presets back, the internal sequences
play back Maniac, Asia, Jump, Foreigner and a blues thing.
Pretty halarious, although I still love that Asia song!
You can see why this thing bombed back in 82', they tried to copy other
peoples instruments like Roland Jupiter, Oberheim, etc. but when you
program it the uniqueness comes out
re: 210/240 I had a freind come over that owns every big Analog poly
and a modular system, and he shit a brick when he played the Kawai's.

The funny thing is almost any synth manufacturer of the early 80s
tried to make out "real" instrument sounds as factory presets on
their analog models.... While the real power of these instruments is
the abstract and unique sounds any of them makes.... funny.

The SX series is really very unique sounding,
I had many Rolands / Korgs, no one sounds like the Kawai/Teisco.

Did you take care of the Nicad battery in yours ?

No No No !!!!

The fact that they look "clear" doesn't mean anything !!

Take them NOW !! This is a very simple service, and the Batts are
going to fail in every minute !! One they do you got your machine
DEAD.

Man ! I just listened to the 240 samples again - this is the BEST
synth I've ever heard !!!

Strange, the 210 cannot do much of what the 240 can.

I think there different, even though some on the net say the 240 is
similiar to the 210. First it is a different sound. The 240 is little
more grainy/thin less organic to my ear than the 240, Second you have a
bunch of features that let you do more sounds on the 240: Ring Mod
(brass), a second oscillator, layering 2 patches, etc. I still enjoy my
210 allot, but its a different sound and capabilities in the end.
