No springs Kent, just make sure you pull it up level, that is at the same rate both ends. It is kinda heavy I suppose (because you re leaning over to do it)

Hi Kent, Two bolts will need to be undone (one either side) and then the whole rack just slides up and locks by itself. To lower, you just raise it slightly

I figured out I was wrong about the voice being out on voice 3. It s a bad square wave on voice 3. Thats why sometimes it was working, I was hearing the saw.
