I don t think that that is the problem. I m getting 22 volts off of the rails and a voltage drop of 15 volts across the zener. I would think that that 820

Keep your CS-50, David!! MIDI or no MIDI, the CS-50 is a wonderful instrument in its own right. Yamaha s chips don t seem to be any more or any else reliable

The fact that the CS50 is the least fancy of the bunch makes it the most reliable. So if it´s working well and gets maintained on a regular basis, keep it.
