The XL-7 will cover you well for all but the piano (it does have a techno piano, but you re not going to be playing Rachmaninoff on it) and the Rhodes.

Actually, you sort of answered your own question; the easiest way to use the two is to sequence on the XL-7 and MIDI into the ASR to control it. Make sense?
