Wave shaping using the 700

Wave shaping using the 700

2002-04-18 by mmarsh100

Hello All -

This may not be news to some, but I've stumbled on a cool trick.
Take the SAW out of a 300 to IO A of the 700; take PULSE out of the
same 300 to IO B of the 700. Take SIN out of the same 300 to CV IN
of the 700. IO X to the console or to further processing. Put the
700 in VOLTAGE MODE. What happens is that the SAW waveform starts
and halfway through gets abruptly replaced by the PULSE. Voila! new
waveform. Play with the mix knob some, etc.

Hey, you're welcome! For more interesting variations, try two 300s
connected this way to both channels on the 700. I did this and then
used the TRI out of one to PWM the other and vice-versa. This
fattens things up nicely. Try SYNcing these as well...
