Is this problem because my libmilter.a is a 32 bit file? Sendmail libmilter readme does not give me a clue on how to compile it into 64 bit... Anyone please?

... So you are linking with -m64 only, I think you should recompile with this flag all the files too. I.e. add -m64 to Makefile or CFLAGS when configuring.
