ok that gave me a chuckle..ha ha

but really it seems i have to tap them hard to get them to triggers
sounds. Any way around this??

Also i think i have the female ones, mine get hard in the cold.

Actually, I'm trying to find out the same thing, if not very similar.

If anyone knows how to turn off the velocity/aftertouch of the
keypads, please post.  Thanks.

Actually, you can set the valocity CURVE sharper so that it respods to any
valocity.  I can't remember where that is located, but i think it's in
PRESET EDIT mode, as well as a GLOBAL default for it.  I'll look when I get
home from work.

Mine seemed to loosen up once I worked with 'em for a bit.  They were a 
bit stiff initially, but after some repeated banging, much softer.  :)
