No, the flash is soldered down on the board, and even if you could, the software doesn't expect dynamic sized flash. What you can do, however, is copy old patterns and songs to your computer via ELoader. This is a good thing to do anyway so you have a backup of your sequences. Compacting flash might help, but if I recall correctly, the %free is irrespective of compacting (i.e. it takes the compacting into account when calculating the free space).
Furthermore, you could always thin sequences if they're heavy on controller data, but that'll only get you so much.
