In both SX and VST, you need to go to the File menu, then select import and choose MIDI file. Then go to where you saved the midi file from the XX-7 (via E-Loader, I may have forgotten to list that step last time, sorry), and select it. I think in VST you can even drag it from the desktop onto your arrange page too, though this hasn't been implemented in SX yet. As for reordering, sometimes after the midi file is imported, Cubase will order the tracks the wrong way, ie Track/Channel 1 is somwhere in the middle, Track/Channel 2 is at the bottom, etc. Not neccesary to reorder them, I just personally find it easier to put the tracks in the same order they were in the XX-7. Also, say you have an 8 bar pattern you're importing, sometimes Cubase will add an extra half measure or so to random tracks (and it's not note length causing it). You might want to resize the part by grabbing it's right handle and dragging it to fit. Again, not neccesary, but it keeps things clean. If I'm being unclear on any of this, let me know and I'll try and clarify further. rEalm How is this done? I've transferred some patterns from my mp7 to my pc, but I can't open them in cubase. What's the correct procedure? And what do you mean by reordering the tracks? Cheers Sergio To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: xl7-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo!
