Remember that you have a huge bunch of samples to create your own kickdrums from. What is an synthesized kickdrum? Take a sinewave, play it at a constant pitch. Not a kickdrum. Now assign the AUX envelope to the pitch of the sinewave by using patchchords. "Amount" should be a negative value. The aux envelope should have a fast attack, and maximum sustain. The AMP envelope should have the fastest attack possible, zero sustain, and a fast decay (and release). Sounds like an electronic bassdrum? If not, transpose the sinewave until it does. Now you're supposed to have a simple electronic bassdrum. Here comes the fun part. Try the triangle wave, or square wave for some very different bassdrums... Doesn't it sound nice? No? Try all waveforms inside the machine. //Nifflas --- In xl7@y..., drK <drk@d...> wrote: > On 11/6/02 2:13 PM, "redflux7" <redflux7@y...> wrote: > > > Hello, > > I just got my XL-7 last week and have been up late every night with > > it makin some really awesome tracks, i LOVE this thing. > > > > However, I can't seem to find any really PHAT kickdrums, nor can > > have i been able to manipulate any of the presets to sound the way > > i'd like.
