Try layering multiple kicks and/or other waveforms using the four layers you
have per preset.  Even if you are using a drumkit multisample (instrument in
Emu-speak) you can place the extra waveforms so they overlay only the one
key where you want the kick to live (layer key-range setting).  Or simplify
your task and make a dedicated kick preset and give it it's own track in the
sequencer.

Don't also forget the Z-Plane filters.  Those are definitely not just for
classic filtering uses.  There are some pretty scary boosting filters in the
selection that mighty be just the think.
