I have had similar problems with the 2408 (MRKI) and ADAT.  Those problems
too were corrected usually by rebooting, though *sometimes* re-powering the
2408.  In my case it came down to an issue with the EPROM in a sister 1224
unit on the same PCI-324.  since MOTU sent me the replacement things have
been fine.  Its a long shot but I thought I'd pass that on.
