I'm looking to the drum maps of the roms I own (xl-7, rob papen techno yard, and ZR), I've found them on the emu site, and I need some more explanations about sound browsing. I see that each instruments it is build up by one or more samples. instruments have their name and number, and so have samples. some samples are present in more than an instruments, for example it is present in a kit and in an instrument on its own. but not all the samples have their own instrument (that is needed in order to have full controll on it, I guess), many exists only in kit with other when you create a new preset, or edit an existing preset, you usually browse and use instruments, now my question is: is there a way to select and use raw samples instead of instruments? and, if the answer is no, how can I edit sounds that exists only in kits? thx davide --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "eriksatie01" <waveplayer@t...> wrote: > hi to everyone in the list, I'm a new user of an xl-7.
