I've started recording our band's jam sessions and am learning all about input levels for recording. I use a MOTU 828MkII and AudioDesk 2 software to record. The highest level I can get out of the XL7, according to the AudioDesk Audio Monitor window, is around -12db to -10db. Is this typical for you guys when you record with your Command Stations? The manual says the max level is +6db, but I haven't found a patch that loud.
