Don't feel bad because all the effort teaches me stuff.  I don't use 
grid mode, but I have wanted to learn.  By trying to figure things 
out based on questions people ask, I am advancing my own knowledge.

When you turn the knobs, the Gat(e) percent doesn't change in the 
display? Hmmmm.

SCALE SHIFT DURATION could be used to change the duration of a whole 
bunch of notes in one or more tracks.

Sorry the explanation didn't help. But don't give up.  Create 
another short pattern in grid mode, using the little knobs to change 
the gate.  Upload it to files and I will take a look.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
