Don't feel bad because all the effort teaches me stuff. I don't use grid mode, but I have wanted to learn. By trying to figure things out based on questions people ask, I am advancing my own knowledge. > i had explained that ive done all of this but the gate still isnt > working. i cant seem to figure it out.... When you turn the knobs, the Gat(e) percent doesn't change in the display? Hmmmm. > i havent touched scale shit nor do i fully understand it but i just > turned it up to 18 and hit play and no w nothing sounds tso > scale/shift has nothing to do with it :) SCALE SHIFT DURATION could be used to change the duration of a whole bunch of notes in one or more tracks. > quantise resolution does give the results i want either. the only > other thing i can think of is that my mp7 is broken Sorry the explanation didn't help. But don't give up. Create another short pattern in grid mode, using the little knobs to change the gate. Upload it to files and I will take a look. --Steve > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@p...> wrote: > > > > Malik, let me see if I understand your problem.
