Re: [xl7] Presets stored within pattern ?????

2005-01-04 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

Are the sounds stored within the pattern or do they have to be stored in a
"global setup" ? If that's the case, it sucks, since i have to go looking
for the right global setup every time i load a different pattern.

>>>The locations of the Presets you use in a Pattern are stored with the
Pattern. The Emu term for a "global setup" is "Multisetup" BTW. <<<

Which one is the global setup that is loaded at startup ?

>>>The last Multisetup you used will be loaded each time you turn the XX-7
on. <<<

Everytime i turn the machine on i have to do a lot of repetitive tasks,
like changing the midi routing for several channels and turning local
control on. I have stored the modified global setup at the beginning (#0)
and in other patterns, and every time i turn the machine on, it goes back
to the previous settings.

>>>Don't store it in a Pattern (umm, you can't really do that anyway, so
?????). Make the changes you want, then save the current Multi. Each
time you turn on the XX-7, that Multi will be used. If you switch
multi's, the new multi will be loaded at start up. <<<
