okay, I'm being unclear. I'm running my mp7 sequenced by my mac. when I hit play, sound comes out of every channel w/data regardless of whether the track mute light is lit or dark, although the volume controller knobs work normally. I'm guessing this is because they are sequencer track mutes and I'm not using the sequencer, only the synth part. I want to have the track mute buttons work like they do when using the internal mp7 sequencer, ie if button is lit, track is heard, unlit, track is muted. It occurred to me that the workaround might involve configuring the trigger buttons to send mute messages to the computer app- is there a more straightforward way to do this? Thanx for prompt reply to muddled question and any further illumination ignant666 --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@p...> wrote: > It really depends what you are trying to do.
