Re: Plex

Thanks. My computer can handle the Grand piano plug, but I'm thinking
that if a can find a big cd rom preset for my ESi I can also take it
to play live... Has anyone tried a really good acoustic piano sample
cd? I might just try the Steinberg, otherwise...

BTW, Realm, I recomend that you get a simple with book with just
scales, chords and harmony basics, all scales... that way you not
only get dexterity but also develop an hear for harmony and musical
modes... As far as technic I'm one who thinks that, unless you are
going to be a classical or sight reading piano player, is best just
to learn by doing that way you sound different from everybody else...
Is not uncommon for me to get to a jam session and solo in a
completely different mode than every other soloist and still be in
tune. Is not that I play better, 'cause it hardly ever the case, its
just that I heard things differently... When I was learning how to
play I'd sit every day at the piano trying chords and superimposed
scales to chord progresssions... just checking how my body reacted to
them. Most musician have that but when you sit at the piano and
understand why, you get an additional compositional tool...

Is nice when one can kill two birds with one stone... :)

just my 2cents...
