SDK7 Snare Drum issue

SDK7 Snare Drum issue

2008-04-11 by lvignals

Hello!
My SDK 7 Snare Drum pad stoped working.
The rim is still ok but the pad no longer works.
I have been trying to get Simmons Drums to return my calls and web
request for a replacement part but no luck.
I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what... any help on
how to obtain replacement part (i.e. snare drum pad) would be greatly
appreciated (special phone number, contact person...).
Thanks and have a great weekend, Ludovic

Sorry guy,
We're only talking about serious & real Simmons kit here...
we don't know nothing about the chinese toys.

your Simmons is a fake...
& actually not a Simmons at all...
Please ask Guitar Center & bring them back your Chinese kit ...

They won't tell you, but you have to know that they bought the name &
the logo of a famous Edrum company (without their authorization) that
stopped existing for about ten years.
You' ve been swindled by Guitar Center.
it's a real scandal !
Tell that everywhere on the forums ...

& ask for your money back !!!

Good luck,

This time I'll try to be nice;

Please contact Guitar Center or similar. On this list we discuss the
vintage SDS-7 and related machines from the original Simmons company and
are not at all amused by the fact that there are new, China made, sets
bearing the Simmons name with no relation whatsoever to the great
products of the past.

Google if you want to know the difference and please don't bring this up
again or you'll be thrown out.

take care,

Suggestion if I may. Even though you are saying you are trying to be nice, it comes across as quite the contrary. Why not try to encourage and educate our younger, perhaps somewhat mislead musicians rather than threaten. Wouldn't you feel better knowing you have taught them something rather than scare them away? Food for thought FWIW. - Roland
PS - It almost seems the new GCSimmons gets more of a reaction than the classics do !!!!

But I don't want the bandwidth wrecked by this - like it is now...

Exactly my point so back to some relevant discussions!
Did I mention Farnell have speakers that fit the SDS-3 and SDS-4 pads? :D

I need to make some new trigger/audio cables for my SDS-V and SDS-7 -
how boring is that. :(
