From memory (which may be wrong!) you will want the narrower, 10 pin cables, and you will need to twist them. The pcbs should have the pin voltages / polarity marked, so just be sure that you line this up correctly with the doepfer bus board - the tech spec of which is on the website somwhere. Julian

Hi guys, I wonder if you can help me. Some time ago I bought the AS BDxx modules second hand, but they came without the power cable. Do you know whether the standard Doepfer flat cables (as well as apparently the additional +5V adapter for the BD99) work for installation into my Doepfer G6, and if not, what cables should I get? I just had a look for you - its outlined in this document fairly well - http://www.analoguesolutions.org.uk/concussor/manuals/concussor.pdf It suggests (i think) using the 16 pin cable, and just offsetting it, but i found that was not possible on some A.Sol modules, due to component density. OK, thanks. This is where I get slightly nervous. There's *very* little DIY:er in me :-) Cheers, Kim [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

They are not directly compatible. Rs has no cv and gate bus, and the order of the power lines on the as is different. Just changing the connector type on the end of the ribbon cable will almost certainly damage your module. You need to build or buy an adapter. I made my own but ive seen them about, synovatron has some on ebay right now (searched for doepfer adapter) but im pretty sure there are others available [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Yeah, I checked that one out as well. My interpretation of it is that it should work for me. Analogmonster said: > synovatron has some on ebay right now That appears to me to be for using an AS case with Doepfer modules, but it might work the other way around as well?!? > Probably an even better option for you considering the fear of diy- schneidersladen > sell exactly the cables you need, no adapters or diy required > http://www.schneidersladen.de/en/analogue-systems-doepfer-adapterkabel-2 I wondered about this: It's for Analogue Systems, not Solutions, but they could of course be compatible...? I think I'll throw an email at Schneider's...
