Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I have a question. all I want to do is record my patterns into a song 
and use the track enable/mute buttons to bring in and out parts 
throught the song, and do all of this in real time. I know I can do 
this in step record, but when I bring up real time record mode I am  
not sure how to get my saved patterns to record into real time song 
mode. thank you for your help -

Use song step edit just to insert the pattern you want, then put a stop
step in where you want the song to end (i.e. at bar 65 if you wanted a
64 bar song).  Then, press record, then play, then just mute/unmute
parts till your heart's content.  Note that you will have to have the
2.0 OS, as realtime mute record is a new feature (requested here!).
