Song transmit off?

Song transmit off?

2003-06-04 by Jacob Talkington

I'm currently trying to use my QS6.1 simply as a sound generator,
but whenever there is a Qcard in the slot (which contains the bulk
of the sounds I want to use), hitting Play on the XL-7 begins the
Qcard's demo sequence. I've gone through the manual and browsed
here, but have turned up nothing - is there a way to not transmit
Song Start information?

  Gracias!

Yes, in the MIDI menu, turn off Transmit Midi Clock.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I had that same problem with a QS6 and a Q
Card. it only occured with the EuroDance card inserted in the QS6.
any other card worked fine. whenever I started the sequencer the
EuroDance QCard would start playing it's demo sequence. this made
the EuroDance card unuseable. too bad, because it had some great
sounds on it. I never did figure out what the problem was. I ended
up selling the QS6 and the QCards on EBay last year. my advice: use
the QS6 without the card.

Ain't that a bitch! That's the very same card/keyboard I'm using
here now.. looks like I'll just be spending a few days ripping the
sounds off of it to make soundfonts out of them. Grr.. talk about a
pain and a major workflow killer..

Thanks for speaking up though. Least now I know I'm not just
missing something obvious.
