More on Knob Hold

More on Knob Hold

2003-05-27 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

Hmm, took a look at the SOS review again, and yep they do mention a Knob
Hold feature. Not that I doubted anyone, just didn't remember seeing that
the first time I read it. Ok, so I DL the P2500 manual and find the
reference to the feature there too. But I look on the front panel images,
and it says "Touch Strip" hold, just like the Command Stations. So, does
anyone know if there is a dedicated Knob Hold button, and more importantly
for us, can we switch the function of the Touchstrip hold to be this
somehow? That would be awesome, not as good as a Snap/Grab feature, but
it's something. Aaron?

Greetings gang! I have the Proteus 2500 (and currently lurking on the
XL7 group!?? the nerve! :^) In answer to the first part of your
question: yes, there is a dedicated "knob hold" button on the unit as
described in the manual. the SOS review threw me for a loop too with a
mention of the phantom "touch strip hold". a touch strip which this
unit does *not* even have. oops! Regarding the second part of your
question: I have no idea (I dont even *have* the XL7 but the p2500 is
so similiar to the XL7 that I find this group extremely helpful as I
attempt to master the beast :^)
