one more try on programming external devices

I have been studying the manual, and having a friggin gas playing with my new XL7, but being me I am still puzzled: Here is the situation: XL7 in pattern mode to change patterns on three external midi devices. All devices chained together from Midi B output of XL7. The first device in the chain (Korg EA1) is set to receive midi on channel 5 In track 16 channel assign, I set channel 16 to Multi B, Dest: both In event edit for track 16, at position 001.01.001 For channel 5 prg: 1 m:0 l: 04 I don't quite get this last line: for controlling a device on channel 5, do I set it to channel 5? And what does prg refer to?? I am assuming that m and l refer to msb and lsb TIA to all in the group! Dana
