Try loosening th nut that holds the headphones socket to the case 'just a 
little bit'.  Not enough to make it loose at all, but enough to relieve 
any pressure that might be causing the socket to short with the case, 
resulting in a hum.

For those of you that have hum in the headphone socket only, be sure
to try this one!!  After months of trying everything and finally
giving up, I found this post. Upon loosening the nut a little bit all
the buzzing has dissapeared. Note that now the nut is quite loose, and
easily turned by hand. I wouldn't want to transport the unit without
tightening it again.
