Yeah, you'll need to manaully enter the MIDI Program Change message via
the List Editor. Find out what the PC number is for your synth patch,
then insert that into the track of your choice at tick 0, and set the
track to EXT. That way, when your MP-7 pattern switches, your preset
should change on the QSR too, and only once when the pattern first
switches.
I don't use the XL-7 with external gear, so I haven't done this myself,
but I believe that's the process.

Subject: [xl7] Change external presets
I am still trying to change and recall my presets on my QSR-8 keyboard
slaved
to my MP-7, i just wanna leave the midi channel open and be able to change
presets from my MP-7 and recall saved presets when I pull up certain
patterns. I can trigger sounds but I dont see an menu to change external
sounds. My ASR-X Pro did this beautifully, it had a dedicated preset (the
last one clockwise) where u could select bank and presets by number. As
long
as nothing changed I could load a pattern and it would match the correct
preset on any external synth. Can I do this on my MP-7? Will it remember
the
setting and load the correct preset?
