Weird screen behavior

Weird screen behavior

2003-04-10 by S V G

After downloading OS 2.0, I called up a Multisetup, one that I used to use for my guitar
synth where I had Omni mode on. When I called it up, the whole screen went black (all the LCD
bits were black). Couldn't get out of it, so I powered down and then back up and the screen was
still black. So without the benefit of the screen, I blindly made my way back to another
multisetup and recalled it, voila! It worked fine again. I was perplexed as to why this would
happen, so I tried it again, same thing. Screen went black and I had to find my way back "in the
dark".

Now I have no idea if this is something that worked well in OS 1.32 and not in 2.0 cause I
haven't used it since first setting it up. It's possible that my guitar synth (Axon AX-100SB) was
sending trash to the unit and fugged up the Multisetup. It's also possible that OS 2.0 has a
teensy-weensy bug in it. Has anyone else experienced this kind of issue? For me it's not a
biggie because I'm selling the guitar synth and I'll be deleting the Mutisetup soon anyway.

And big time props to the E-mu team who delivered one hell of an OS.

                Stephen

Haven't seen that myself! Stealth mode? The Stevie Wonder Multisetup?

Viewing angle is saved as part of the multisetup. At some angles, the
display is almost useless. However, viewing angle is always the last
screen in the Global menu (or Master menu in our P2K/P1K modules), so
you can edit it without seeing the screen. Simply press the Global
button, scroll all the way to the right, press the right cursor, and
dail till you can see the screen. I'd recommend resaving that multi.
