is this rom worth purchasing for some realistic instrument sounds. im
looking for some regular synthesizer/keyboard sounds for my mp7 of
good quality. if not what would be the best thing

The piano of the ZR rom is fanstastic, but the factory presets is not
good at all. Yet, with some tweaking I managed to make a very nice
piano preset.

The rest of the sounds is bad. Okey, there's some cute electric
pianos I often use, as well as some other presets, but I think most
is quite weak. Not recommended.

For me it was worth getting it - for it's piano.

Unless you really want that high quality piano - get "Proteus Pop
Collection" instead which is probably much better. I've listened to
the Proteus 2500 in a local music store, and it sounds great.

I wouldn't ditch the ZR Rom because there are some nice 80 synth
basses on it, and a few decent drums as well.
And the (E)Pianos are cool indeed.

So many ROM, so little slots. :)

The composer Rom is good for all round stuff, though somewhat heavy on the
'fake orchestra' sounds, which are rather useless outside of hiphop. Plenty
of synths.

I kept ahold of mine specificly for the electric pianos.
