Do you have the latest Operating System installed?  If not, go to the Emu 
website and download OS 1.32 and use E-Loader to install it.  Beats mode 
should be visable now.  Same with the new pedal options, these were 
features that weren't implemented until OS 1.31 I believe.

First, the manual is pretty confusing. I'm having a hard time 
understanding how the different systems work together. I've got most 
of the basics.. But I was reading through the beats and riffs 
section. In order to activate them you set the triggers function to 
play beats under the edit controllers button, correct? I didn't have 
this option, unless it's a submenu that I am having trouble 
accessing. Also I didn't see an option to set the pedal command 
either under the controllers menu. I going as per the screens listed 
under the topic in the manual.

Also, I'm having trouble figuring out how to set an arpeggio to a 
preset. I've tried using the master arppegiator, but all I get is a 
four on the floor and not an arpeggio. 

Grr.. I so want to learn this. Im going to update the OS tonight, I 
only have 1.0. 

Any help on these topics would be greatly appreciated..
