Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I'm quite suprised we're all beta testers for unfinished gear. I 
mean, I was very dissapointed with all those bugs, and would do 
anything for an update.

Please, EMU, when I spend abouve $2000 to buy a synth (that's what I 
payed for it in Sweden), I expect it to work. You shouldn't have 
released it before the OS worked. Many people have already sold 
theirs, but I prefer to wait for an OS update.

I mean, it's OK that the sequencer has it's bugs - I can avoid them 
all, etc. etc. but it's not ok that it sometimes freezes. You know 
what it feels like if it does this in live perfomance?

When can I expect an OS upgrade btw?

Regarding the new OS, I currently don't own a PC at the moment but I would
like to get the update, where could I go to receive the update? and can
anyone estimate how much would it cost me in US dollars?

You can buy a Command Station now, and when the new OS comes out, you can
load it into your machine via midi.  Don't worry, if you buy now you won't
miss any features.  The new Os is due out in ABOUT a month I think.

Can we get the new OS if I buy the Command Station now? Or, do I
have to wait for it to release in stores with the new OS?

The os update is free if you download from emu site, I would suggest you find a friend to download for you, I think there is a current os disk that ships with newer units and maybe emu would sell you one if you called them and inquired...really not sure of cost but would imagine it's minimal.
