MP-7 and Sonar

MP-7 and Sonar

2002-09-28 by gary saville

I was wondering if anyone controls there XX-7 from
Sonar?

I would like to do a couple of things. First of all, if
anyone knows how to transmit midi start-stop messages
from a midi track rather than just locking the mp-7 to
the clock I would love to know how!!??? I would like to
insert start stop messages into a midi track so the mp7
doesn't play all the time.

Also is there a instrument (.ins file) for the MP-7? I
found the defenition for the XL-7 in the yahoo group
section, but not the MP-7's.

Any help on setting up drum maps would be really really
helpfull as well. Right now I'm using a passthrough
drum map, however the presets that show up seem to be
random?

Thanks all!

Well, you can turn on/off Sonar's transmission of start/stop somewhere
in it's MIDI menus. If you want to actually send start/stop in the
midst of a track, insert 0xFA (start), 0xFC (stop), or 0xFB (continue).
I'm not sure if Sonar will let you do this, but you could give it a
shot.
