Help! Is my os corrupted (1.18), or does someone know why when I set
the preset arp to on and save it in the global set up window and then
restore it is is reset to off??

You should really get the latest OS Version (1.31)on your machine.
Here is a link that will give you everything you need.

The E-Loader program documentation is in the files section already.

Aaron, just to clarify, you're talking about the Patterns and Songs saving
each tracks Arp setting (either Preset or Master), not the actually
Arppegiator parameters, correct?

rEalm

Patterns and songs save the arp settings (controller #80) so if you change
patterns, it will possibly change the arp settings. Either save the
settings the way you want in the first pattern, or, like some people have
done, is erase the first pattern so that the box will start up with the
settings as saved in the multisetup.

As he said, you should get 1.31. However, that's not your problem.
Patterns and songs save the arp settings (controller #80) so if you
change patterns, it will possibly change the arp settings. Either save
the settings the way you want in the first pattern, or, like some people
have done, is erase the first pattern so that the box will start up with

Right, sorry. I should've been more specific. The pattern stores
controller #80 which is arp status only (off, on, Preset, Master). All
the other parameters (as Nick mentioned) are in the preset or in the
master arp settings.

Controller #79 (mix output) is stored in the pattern as well.
