OT: SX versus VST

What's different about it? Whew, just about everything really, Steinberg have a great PDF about the new features on their website: www.Steinberg.net What do I like about it? Basically VST was originally a MIDI only sampler that slowly got more and moer audio option ported to it as time went on. Unfortunately, this means that a lot of the audio side of Cubase is not as streamlined as the MIDI side of things, which is why (well, one of the reasons) they developed Nuendo. SX is based largely around the audio engine, while still retaining the MIDI features as well. New features I dig are: - the vastly improved automation implementation - finally the grid can be resized right down 1/128th notes for us nuskool stutter breaks types :) - The mixer is much more compact if you want it to be, so you can view more channels at one time on the screen - midi plug in support - Parabolic, sine and triangle wave (plus more) line tools - new groove shuffle quantize - all of your audio editing can be done in one window (Project Window) with sample accuracy, no more having to deal with audio editors and wav editors for fine editing - the new track inspector is actually useful now, you can mix and record everything from one window! These are just the biggies on my list, there a ton more great and improved features in SX! rEalm What is so good about it, what do you like in it that you can't find in the older version. Anything that apply to the XX-7's or anything else.
