Prodatum isn't working for me on XL7

Prodatum would be super sweet if it was working for me, 

But it doesn't seem to be able to edit instruments/voice settings or arp data.  All the edits to globals and controllers seem to work, edits to the master effects section seem to work fine.  The guy who wrote it says other XL7 users have this working.  Am I missing some major setting?  

If you try it and have problems too, please post some feedback on his wiki, so he knows it's not just my random experience.

Hi George.

No the randomize function doesn't work either for me.  The internals of the MP7 and the  XL7 are identical with the exception of the sound rom (I have the Mo-Phatt card installed btw)

It's important that the developer knows you are having issues too, especially since it worked with the first version.  I don't think he knows it's a version 2 change.  You should post a bug up on the Sourceforge site.

He doesn't have an XL7 or MP7, so it's harder for him to track things down.  Do any  other editors work for you?  Maybe there is a way to compare what gets sent, which might help him...

I had a mixed experience with Prodatum on my MP7.  I could (sort of) move patches from ‘ROM’ to ‘USER’ but not edit them IIRC.  I say ‘sort of’ because when you drag a patch to a slot, it overwrote other patches in unexpected slot.  I think I got Proteum to work once for patch editing, but not again.

I’ve never tested with my Proteus but I’m hoping that I will be able to create patches there and move them to the other since the software is written with the P2k in mind rather than the CS’s.

I am in the same situation, but I have the MP7 not XL7, but for sure we have the same symptoms.

Mainly I want to use the prodatum for easy saving presets in computer and also the randomize function, can you check if you can use the randomize function, does this change the sound? Mine not….

I use prodatum V 1.0, the second one don't work at all with my MP7…

I have this same issue on my XL-7 with Prodatum. Global controls work but the individual layer controls do not work.

This would be amazing if it worked...

yeah--the last several versions (past 2 or 3 years, I think) have been very problematic. The software developer doesn't have a CS/P2500. I have up years ago after having spend hours testing early versions and giving him feedback. Yes, its a shame, but there's still proteum. The last time I looked, that never didn't work with CS/P2500s. I cannot say that about prodatum.Sometimes you get what you pay for; sometimes you get more. ;-)

PS: the last version that worked with my P2500 was zero point something.
