What is up with the New OS

What is up with the New OS

2002-04-04 by boomtap

Is it going to be released later today or Friday. Is it possible that
they could release it in the evening if not then I would know to
check the website only in the Am. Then call it a day.

Thanks

Patience, young Jedi...

I'm sure they are doing everything they can to get us the OS ASAP.

And don't think that you are the only one checking the website every
hour for the past few weeks, I'd like to see the stat server info for
those pages. I bet they are the most popular pages on the website
right now, with all of us checking all the time.

So I guess we'll just have to wait and see, hoping that all of our
wishes will be answered with the new OS (Superbeats, USB support
maybe?!?)

(I just really don't think trying to push them or bothering them will
get anything done any faster)
;-)

Now I'm thinking about setting the emu page as my homepage...

http://emu.com/products/mp7/index.html

(replace "mp7" above with "xl7" if you so desire)

That way I can check automatically everytime i go online...

Rumor has it that you should check the Emu site later today :) Last
minute bugs and stuff had to be fixed "so I hear". The updated Faq (ver
1.31) covering the new features will be posted soon after they go live
with the OS, unless they release it after I leave work in which case
you'll all have to wait until tomorow :)

Heheh I'm a Java programmer in the bay area, you don't know how many times I've
contemplated asking for a job there just to help make this piece of wonderous
gear get better a wee bit sooner... ;) I'd rather wait for a solid OS than a
quick buggy one. I'm sure they'll let us know when it's available.

Less time spent complaining about the box, more time spent trying to make it better :)

I can't, wish I could! Emu asked me to wait until the OS comes out...

...besides, umm.... I can't write the new stuff until I get the OS too!
(yeah, that's it) ;p

Perhaps downloading the manual of a module that has the "superbeats"
facility, and studying that, so that one knows how to impliment it once
you have it.This could expedite the learning curve, immediate
gratification,no? I used it with Orbit and a launch pad.Much fun!
